The Review Center is one of the most popular free add-ons in Optimal Resume. For those not familiar with this tool, the Review Center allows users to submit finished documents to their career centers for feedback. In turn, counselors can log into the Admin System to view and comment on submitted documents. For career centers looking to integrate their review activities in one place, the Review Center can be an ideal solution.
We’ve often heard the claim that the Review Center leads to stronger usage rates among career centers, but we wanted to know exactly how much stronger. After taking a sample of career centers using the Review Center, we found they had, on average, 46% more registered accounts than career centers not using the Review Center!
The large increase in users can be explained in part by the user-counselor interactions available through the Review Center. Being able to communicate with a counselor at any time about the status of a resume gives users incentive to log in and continue using the system. Some institutions take this one step further and require users to complete a resume through the Review Center, as part of an assignment or in preparation for an in-person meeting. Large or segmented career centers can also take advantage of Review Groups to streamline workflow, making it easy for counselors to find their most relevant submissions.
