This privacy statement summarizes the practices of ThinkOptimal (a.k.a. OptimalResume.com, Inc. and operating as OptimalResume.com) with regard to the collection and dissemination of
information in conjunction with our public websites www.optimalresume.com, my.optimalresume.com, myoptimalcareer.com, resumegps.com, and www.thinkoptimal.com (the “Public Site(s)”) and
our client website at client.optimalresume.com (the “Private Site”). The Public Website(s) and Private Website may be collectively referred to as the “Sites”. The Private Site is
available only to users as determined by our specific clients that have entered into an agreement (“Client Agreement”) with OptimalResume.com to provide software and services hosted by
OptimalResume.com. Nothing in this privacy statement modifies or amends the terms to the Client Agreement.
OptimalResume.com, Inc. provides software applications and hosting services to client/organization, which in turn provides tools to end users for the purpose of building and maintaining resumes. We are committed to respecting the privacy of others and have taken steps to provide a safe and secure user experience.
We will provide industry standard security in the form of a log-in function and a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) that encrypts the data provided. Our Sites have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our servers are backed up regularly and protected by security systems. Client is responsible for the administration of valid user IDs and passwords. Personally identifiable information (“PII”) provided to and collected by the client will only be used by OptimalResume.com for the purposes of managing and enhancing the resume service and/or employment/employer relationships. Such PII includes name, address, email address, phone numbers, and resume information used to build the resume. We may also disclose such PII to companies and individuals we contract with or employ to perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting web servers, providing customer service or processing financial transactions. These entities may have access to PII but they may not share that PII.
PII is collected by OptimalResume.com, Inc. from users on a voluntary basis, although there are instances where you may want to provide PII in order to purchase certain products. Except as otherwise set forth herein, PII will not be shared with other organizations other than for the purpose of managing and enhancing the resume service and/or employment/employer relationships, except when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or to protect the rights or property of OptimalResume. If compelled by law to divulge your PII to comply with laws or regulations of a governmental or regulatory body or in response to a valid subpoena, warrant, or order or to protect the rights of OptimalResume or others, OptimalResume will use its best business judgment to minimize such compelled disclosures.
In the event that you make a purchase from one of our sites, the information obtained during your visit to these parts of our Sites, and the information that you give such as your credit card number and contact information, is provided to our credit card service provider or payment processor. Our credit card service provider or payment processor has its own separate privacy and data collection policy. The acceptance or rejection of any such separate privacy and data collection policy is a private matter between you and the third party credit card service or payment processor, and OptimalResume assumes no liabilities whatsoever related to such payment processing, including the submission, use, and misuse of any PII. You are solely responsible for making an informed decision regarding the use of any services of any such third party payment processor.
Control and use of any resume distributed or maintained on the internet or otherwise is the responsibility of the user, and we encourage users to take precautions to make sure that their PII is shared only with viable and intended employment entities. All users should be aware that with any voluntary display or distribution of PII such as email address or resume, that information can be collected and used by others. Please read section below entitled, User Security Precautions.
Sign-on and password functionality has been provided to aid a user in protecting their PII. We encourage users to keep their passwords confidential and to change them on a regular basis.
The updating and validity of resume information is the responsibility of the user.
Tools have been provided to enable a user to render their resumes private (not indexed for search engine purposes), or public (added to a distribution page for search engine use). In either case, the user must recognize that there are risks associated with having or sending a resume. We cannot be held responsible for the use made by any third parties who access such resumes.
A user has the ability to render the status of their resume web page LIVE or inactive. De-activating a resume will render that page inaccessible on our server. It should be noted that this will not affect the status of resumes saved and retained in other databases as attachments or files.
Keeping your account and resume information up to date is important. A user has the responsibility for all content, and can modify or delete information or delete the entire resume at any time.
Email communications may be automatically generated by the program as required to aid in the management of the account information and resume maintenance process. These are programmatic and do not render a user as an opted-in for other email communications.
